Shop The Look – My Favourite Instagram Interiors
If you’ve been following my #5ToFollow posts you’ll know that recently I’ve been sharing some of my favourite interior accounts from Instagram. In this post I’m going one better. I’ve teamed up with the guys at Utility to bring you a special ‘Shop The Look’ edition where you’ll be able to shop your favourite items from each shared account.
For those of you who aren’t aware, Utility are an independently owned design retailer based in Liverpool. Selling original contemporary furniture, lighting and home accessories, Utility believe in design without pretence and pride themselves on having the most comprehensive selection of items on the web. If Vitra make a chair in 10 colours; all 10 will be available at Utility.
Here’s the best part. Utility are offering 15% off every item listed below when you use the code MANIMALIST at checkout.
Psst… The code will also work on all furniture, lighting and home accessories available online at Utility*
@Han_House is run by Hannah Thinnesen Trickett from the popular blog hannahinthehouse.com and features clear Nordic influences and a focus on soft minimal style. Hannah’s Instagram account is an extension of her blog – an additional platform on which she shares her love of Scandinavian design, interiors, travel and lifestyle.
On Hannah’s Instagram you’ll find a beautifully curated collection of images, featuring stunning self-taken shots and a scattering of shared photographs from top European brands such as Muuto, Hay, Gubi and Carl Hansen & Son. An experienced interior designer, Hannah has created a beautiful home for herself in London and her Instagram account never ceases to inspire.
Here are some of my favourite pieces, as spotted in Hannah’s home.
Hannah is in the process of relocating from London to her new home in Copenhagen so I’m sure there are even better things to come from @han_house in the near future.

Davy Dooms is a graphic designer based in Antwerp, Belgium but it’s clear that his eye for design extends way beyond the workplace. Take one look at his Instagram and it’s evident that Davy lives and breathes design. With a focus on interiors, menswear and general design lifestyle, Davy’s Instagram account @vanityvintage is his visual journal.
A self proclaimed minimalist enthusiast, Davy’s home seamlessly blends clean, contemporary Scandinavian influences with design classic pieces from the Mid Century. Scattered throughout his account you’ll find Manimalist favourites from brands such as Asket, Common Projects, Cos, Hay and Cereal.
Here are my favourite pieces as seen in the home of Davy Dooms.

If you’ve ever come across a crisp white interior shot on Instagram that made you double tap, chances are you’ve stumbled upon Denise Bolton’s account @aboutthishaus . Denise, an interiors and lifestyle content creator has been building a loyal following on Instagram for a number of years and as time goes by, she continues to add fantastic furniture & lighting pieces to her immaculately dressed home.
Denise has embraced a Scandinavian inspired aesthetic that focuses on clean, white furniture. These are made to feel natural and inviting through the addition of well placed home accessories – pale wood ornaments, candles and indoor plants play a part in bringing the entire look together.
Here are my pick of the products as seen in Denise’s home.
Denise is planning a blog launch very soon, so watch this space.

This isn’t the first time Tibods (real name Thibault De Schepper) has been mentioned on MANimalist for his home interior photos. Thibault’s Instagram seamlessly combines his love of art, photography, menswear and interiors with each edited photo instantly recognisable as a Tibods original.
His home in Antwerp, Belgium is full of the furniture and lighting we aspire to having. Similar in some ways to Davy Doom’s style, Thibault’s interior features design classic pieces designed by Charles & Ray Eames, Louis Poulsen lighting and other items from top European brands such as Hay, Artemide & Artek.

Belgian born Sarah Van Peteghem is an interior designer, blogger and print designer currently based in Berlin, Germany. Her penchant for monochrome interiors and Scandinavian inspired style has seen her amass a following of almost 60k followers on Instagram and print features in the likes of design giant Dezeen.
Opting for a predominantly neutral colour palette in her own home, Sarah creates an environment in which each item seems to fit perfectly with the next. We’ve chosen 6 of these furniture & lighting pieces for today’s guide, but we probably could have showcased 20. Check out our selections below and then head over to @sarah_cocolapine to check out the rest.

A few months back Oliver Hooson mentioned on his Instagram account that he intended to replace his replica furniture items with licensed originals. Oliver’s appreciation of great design has led to the understanding that although these items command a higher price tag, the history of design, quality of materials and expert-level craftsmanship make them ultimately worth the investment.
In the pursuit of this goal, Oliver has got off to a commanding start, having now introduced an Eames DSR dining chair, Hay Strap Mirror and most recently a George Nelson bench designed in 1946 to his collection. In fact, he’s currently working with Utility on an exiting piece of content surrounding this piece. We’re excited to see what he adds next.
